Fred A. Coram
Fred A. Coram, 74, of Greenwood, passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at Franciscan St. Francis Health-Indianapolis.
He was born Dec. 22, 1939, in Indianapolis to Fred D. Coram and Beatrice (Archer) Coram.
He married Nancy L. (Chapman) Coram on June 21, 1958, in Indianapolis; and she survives.
He was the packaging manager for Trans City in Indianapolis for eight years. He previously owned Briggs Distributing Co.
He was a member of Pleasant Valley Church in Acton. He served twice as past master of Capital City Masonic Lodge No. 312 in Indianapolis, where he was a 50-year member. Most recently he was a member of Greenwood Masonic Lodge No. 514.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy L. (Chapman) Coram of Greenwood; four children, Diane L. (James) Houpt and Jeffery A. Coram, both of Greenwood, and Jennifer L. (Larry) Alder and Beth A. “Dolly” (Brad) Tollison, both of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Thomas (Cindy) Coram of Martinsville; and a sister, Phyllis Macy of Greenwood.
A Masonic service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 S. Morton St. (U.S. 31 South) in Franklin, with a funeral service immediately following, conducted by the Rev. Greg Edens. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until service time Thursday at the mortuary. Inurnment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Glenns Valley, Greenwood.
