Deborah K. Botts, 61, of Edinburgh, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.
She was born Nov. 23, 1952, in Columbus to the late C.B. “Bill” and Leda A. (Burton) Merchant.
She is survived by her son, Dennis G. (Alicia Taflinger) Botts of Edinburgh; a sister, Margie Myers of Hope; and grandchildren, Kailey Braxton Botts, Caleb Blaine Botts, Dennis G. Botts III and Aiden Lee Taflinger.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, April Denise Botts; a brother, Rickey “Jo Rickey” Merchant; and a sister, Valerie A. Rogers.
She was a member of Who So Ever Will Community Church in Edinburgh.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Who So Ever Will Community Church, 623 S. Eisenhower Drive, Edinburgh, with the Rev. Lewis Burton officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Arrangements are being handled by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
