Ondia R. McGaha
Ondia R. McGaha, 77, of Edinburgh, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 23, 1936, in Adair County, Ky., to the late Otis “Peck” and Lillie (Burton) McGaha.
He married Pricie (England) McGaha on May 30, 1958. She survives.
Other survivors include his children, Mark (Stephanie) McGaha of Columbus, David McGaha of Mesquite, Texas, Daniel (Lisa) McGaha of Seymour and Tamera McGaha of Edinburgh; siblings, Edward “Spunk” McGaha of Edinburgh and Roy (Lula) McGaha of Franklin; grandchildren, Justin and Joshua McGaha, Heather and Caden McGaha, and Riley and Griffin McGaha; and one stepgrandchild, Andrew Dickherber.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Vernon, William, Osbert and Eugene McGaha and Eva Bryant; and a son, Timothy McGaha.
He attended Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church.
He retired in June 1999 after 43 years of service as a production worker for Cosco.
He enjoyed family reunions, spending time with his grandchildren, gardening and attending church.
A funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church, 905 S. Main St., with Rev. Guy Hardin officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Old Union Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Arrangements are being handled by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home.
