Anthony David Packer
Anthony David Packer, 37, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, in Indianapolis. He was a resident of New Whiteland.
Anthony was born Sept. 11, 1976, in Monticello.
He was employed with many companies since he was 17, including White Castle, Taco Bell, ConAgra, Citizens Gas, Indiana University Health — Clarian North and most recently Greenwood Village South in the maintenance department, working with the heating and air conditioning.
Anthony enjoyed cars and video games. He was a fan of auto racing, the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana University sports.
He was a member of Apostolic Gospel Church in Franklin.
He was a caring and kind-natured person to friends, family and strangers. He was a blessing to everyone who knew him.
Survivors include his mother, Janie Packer of New Whiteland; his father, David (Maxine) Packer of Ohio; two brothers, Andrew M. (Stephanie) Packer of Lafayette and David N. (Nicole) Packer Jr. of Illinois; grandmother, Olive R. Malin of New Whiteland; an uncle, Steve (Kristi) Rickleff of Carmel; cousins, Heather of Texas, Adam of Maine and Aaron Rickleff of Indianapolis; a niece, Elise Packer; and a nephew, Jared Packer.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. 31 North. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Janie Packer in care of the Jessen Funeral Home, 729 U.S. 31 North, Whiteland, IN 46184.
