Joseph A. Baxter
Joseph A. Baxter, 63, of New Whiteland, passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014.
He was born June 21, 1950, in Indianapolis to the late Elmer and Rita Baxter.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia A. Rudicil Baxter; two sons, Matthew Baxter and Nicholas (Betsy) Baxter; two grandchildren, Brycen and Elliana Baxter; a brother, Kenneth Baxter; and a sister, Patsy Baxter.
Joe served our country as a very proud U.S. Marine.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church and actively involved in the parish.
Joe retired after 18 years as a diesel mechanic with Frontier Trucking in Indianapolis.
Everyone who knew Joe understood how big his heart was for helping others.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, 335 S. Meridian St. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
