Paul William Hawn, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, Dec, 30, 2013.
He was born in Shelbyville on Oct. 4, 1930, to Paul G. and Gladys B. (Sharp) Hawn. Paul graduated from high school in Boggstown and attended Olivet Nazarene College. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1955.
Paul farmed for many years in Shelby County. In later years, he owned and operated Point-to-Point Delivery.
He was a member of Shelbyville Nazarene Church and attended Westview Christian Church in Indianapolis.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Linda Sue (Mowrer) Hawn; children, Cindy Hawn Hall, Shannon Hawn (Kendall) Hadler, Randall Scott (Rita) Hawn, Debra (Ron) Turner and Kathleen (Keith) Evans; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sue Hasselbring.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving stepmother, Ruth E. (Pond) Hawn; brothers, Richard, Sam and Thomas Hawn; and former spouse, Judith (Wells) Hawn.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Flanner and Buchanan–Speedway, 2950 N. High School Road, Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Miller Cemetery in Shelby County.
Memorial contributions may be given to Shelbyville Nazarene Church or Westview Christian Church.
