William ‘Marc’ Moore II
William “Marc” Moore II, 43, of Columbus, died at 7:36 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at the Columbus Regional Hospital emergency room.
Marc was employed at Sonoco Flexible Packaging as a lab technician, where he had worked for 23 years.
He was a member of South Central H.O.G., where he was serving as assistant director, and UNITE Local 1490, serving as chief shop steward; and was a member of the landlord association.
He enjoyed music, motorcycles, cars, building and karaoke and was very computer savvy.
He was born in Columbus on Nov. 17, 1970, the son of William Marcus and Cheryl D. Moore.
Survivors include his father, William Marcus Moore of Indianapolis; his mother, Cheryl D. Moore of Edinburgh; a daughter, Mercedes Moore of Indianapolis; fiancee, Kathleen “Kathy” Dickerson of Columbus; sisters, Debbie Moore, Cheryl (Vince) Guieb and Jill Moore; stepsons, Zachary Dickerson of California and Keiffer Dickerson of Columbus; grandmother Marcella Roach of Nineveh; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The Rev. Lewis Burton will conduct a service at 10 a.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home, 1029 Washington St., Columbus. Family and friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice of charity.
