Sue R. Kinser
Sue R. Kinser, 74, a longtime resident of Bargersville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at the Franklin United Methodist Community.
She was born Oct. 8, 1939, in Paoli to John and Dona (Hall) Bowers and was raised in Paw Paw, Mich. She was a graduate of Shortridge High School in Indianapolis.
She married Marshall H. Kinser in January 1961 in Indianapolis; and he survives.
She retired after 25 years of service at Indiana Bell in Indianapolis. She attended Mount Auburn United Methodist Church in Stones Crossing, was a member of the American Business Women’s Association and attended Indiana Wesleyan University.
She loved spending winter in Florida with her husband, going to Brown County, attending the theater, writing poetry and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Marshall H. Kinser of Bargersville; a son, Michael Kinser of Bargersville; three daughters, Toni Vogel and Debra Wein (Kevin), both of Bargersville, and Janice White (Howard) of New Whiteland; a stepson, Ron Kinser (Kathy) of Bloomington; four grandchildren, Carl Vogel (Kim) and Brittney Wein, both of Indianapolis, and Anthony Vogel and John Vogel, both of Bargersville; and seven great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Dillan, Anthony, Seth, Marley, Jonathon and Wesley.
The Rev. Ben Greenbaum will conduct a home-going service at 2 p.m. Saturday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 S. Morton St. (U.S. 31 South) in Franklin. Friends may call from noon until service time Saturday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Glenns Valley, Greenwood.
