Clifton ‘Kip’ Krebs
Clifton “Kip” Krebs, 72, passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2013. He was a resident of Greenwood.
He was born May 3, 1941, in Euclid, Ohio, to the late Clifton C. Krebs II and Alice Marie (Hart) Krebs.
He married Sue (Davis) Krebs on June 12, 1965, who survives.
He also is survived by his children, Theresa M. Medsker, Christopher C. (Rhonda) Krebs and Benjamin R. (Lesley) Krebs; grandchildren, Laura (Jason), Jake (Andrea), Will, Nick, Mason and Makenzie; sisters,
Alice Ann Buccilli and Ellen Sholes; and brothers, James and John Krebs.
Kip retired from Allison Gas Turbine Division of General Motors as a manufacturing engineer in 1990. During his retirement, he served as chaplain in prison ministry and for Valle Vista Treatment Center for many years.
He was an active member of Greenwood United Methodist Church, where he served on various committees throughout the years. He was a Boy Scout scoutmaster, avid camper and devoted family man.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at Greenwood United Methodist Church, 525 N. Madison Ave., Greenwood. Friends may call from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Friday at the church.
