Mona Young

Mona Marie (Reynolds) Young, 84, passed away on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin.

She was born on Nov. 2, 1929, in Indianapolis to Jesse Otto and Mae (Cauble) Reynolds. She married Reford Young on April 28, 1951. He lovingly survives in Franklin.

Other survivors include children, Denita (Michael) Pickett of Franklin and Dennis (Nancy) Young of Greenwood; grandchildren, Justin (Leticia) Pickett of Franklin; Paul Pickett of Franklin and Andrew Pickett of Indianapolis; Cory (Beth) Young of Miami, Florida; Ashley (Jerod) Nelis of Greenwood and Denny Young of Indianapolis and great-

grandchildren, Tony, Violet and Michael Pickett; Deklan and Parker Young and Preston Nelis.

She was preceded in passing by her parents and two sisters, Iva Alexander and Vera Isaacs.

She was a graduate of Manual High School in Indianapolis.

Mona worked for Eli Lilly and Co in Indianapolis. She later worked for the family business, Commercial Sewer Cleaning in Indianapolis.

She was a member of the Southport Heights Christian Church. Mona was an avid reader. She enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds and squirrels in her yard. She was a devoted wife and a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton St., (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
