Barbara “Bobbee” J. Williams, 83, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, Nov. 29, 2013. She was a lifelong resident of Greenwood.
She was born March 24, 1930 in Greenwood to the late Roy and Verda (Rush) Whitaker.
She is survived by her children, Daniel L. (Becky) Williams of Franklin and Teresa A. Scherrer of Greenwood; daughter-in-law, Patty Morgan; grandchildren, Amy R. Williams, Staci Harris, Stephanie Morgan, Whitney Scherrer, and Seth and Storey Scherrer; six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Williams; son, Larry “Steven” Morgan, and her brothers and sisters.
Bobbee was a 1948 graduate of Center Grove High School. She later owned and operated Bobbee’s Beauty Shop from her home.
She enjoyed bowling, card club, shopping, sewing, and watching soap operas, QVC, and the Price Is Right.
A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St., Greenwood. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Bobbee will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
