Maxine Clara Workman
Maxine Clara (Montgomery) Workman, 84, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013.
Born on March 14, 1929, in Holton, to the late Orel J. and Maude F. Montgomery, she grew up in Ripley County.
She was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed.
Maxine attended New Whiteland Christian Church and previously taught Sunday school and sang in the church choir.
Maxine enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with her family. She was a faithful Christian all of her life.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Dewey Workman; five children, Linda (David) Moody of Green Cove Springs, Fla., Rick (Sandy) Workman and their children, Stephanie and Zachary, of Indianapolis, Gary (Paula) Workman and their children, Jana, Kristen, Rachel, Matt and Jake, of the San Antonio area, David (Glennis) Workman and their child, Todd, of Mooresville, and Brenda (Randy) Mathews and their children, Shane and Ryan, of Mooresville; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Erlene Meisberger of Versailles; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amber Rae Dodds.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. 31 North. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Holton Cemetery in Ripley County.
