Bernard M. Sutter, 92, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013. He was a resident of Franklin.
He was the son of Verne and Odetta Sutter, who lived in Versailles.
Bernie was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II. He was a member of Franklin Masonic Lodge No. 107, F&AM, and the Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite and was a 56-year member of Linwood Christian Church in Indianapolis.
Bernie was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Dalene Vestal and Ruth Hey.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Crooke Sutter; three sons, Stephen (Katy) of Westfield, David (Beverly) of Nebraska and Gregory (Linda) of Texas; a daughter, Donna (Ray) Szkotak; nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
The Revs. Charles Stanley and Carolyn Watkins will conduct a service at 11 a.m. Monday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where a Masonic service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery near Brookville with military honors.
