Norma Jean Williams
Norma Jean Williams, 76, of Greenwood, passed away Monday, Nov. 4, 2013.
She was born Nov. 15, 1936, in Cumberland, a daughter of John W. and Nellie (Vernon) Alley.
She married Charles “Max” Williams on Sept. 11, 1953. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Max A. (Gina) Williams; three daughters, Janice (Gary) Montgomery, Jenny (Bob) Caviness and Idella Duncan; a brother, John (Martha) Alley; two sisters, Dolly Parrott and Alberta Springer; 12 grandchildren, Maj. Brian (Carrie) Montgomery, Melissa (Matt) Williams-Driscoll, Erika (Chris) Emberton, Betsy (Ian) Smith, Brittany Caviness, Kevin Montgomery, Robert (Kayla) Caviness, and Michael, Jonathan, Jackie, Deedra and Hannah Duncan; and six great-grandchildren, Peyton, Trenton, Addison, Andrew, Max and Katie.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Michael Duncan; and nine siblings.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St. The Rev. Dr. J. Wesley Hertel will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
