Duane Erchel Lewis
Duane Erchel Lewis, 58, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, in Franklin. He was a resident of Franklin.
Duane was born Nov. 14, 1954, in Franklin to Erchel and Mabel (Voiles) Lewis.
He was a driver for Prairie Concrete and Materials in Indianapolis for 35 dedicated years of service.
Duane enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, fishing and hunting. He was a member of Teamsters Local 135. He was an active member of The Crossing Church in Nineveh.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila (Campbell) Lewis of Franklin; two children, Stacey (Jason) Metz of Brazil and Brittany (Matt Shafer) Lewis of Terre Haute; three stepchildren, Daniel Henson of Indianapolis, and Tiffany Aiello and Kayla Henson, both of Greenwood; a brother, Daniel Lewis of Franklin; a grandchild, Avery Metz; and three stepgrandchildren, Alden McClain, Adrianna Aiello and Aisla Headley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Erchel and Mabel Lewis; and a stepgrandchild, Ethan Aiello.
The Rev. Paul Taylor will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday at The Crossing Church, 8728 S. Nineveh Road, Nineveh. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
