Dennis Roy Godsave
Dennis Roy Godsave, 62, of Greenwood, passed away Oct. 20, 2013.
He was born Oct. 7, 1951, in Halifax, Pa.
After pursuing a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Louisville, Dennis was employed with Navistar International for more than 35 years.
Dennis enjoyed being with family and friends. He was a people person with a great heart who never knew a stranger. He could repair anything and often did so for others freely. He enjoyed golfing, camping, hiking, gardening and traveling.
Survivors include his mother, Pauline of Louisville, Ky.; his wife of 42 years, Sandra (Lipsey) Godsave; children, J.T. (Anni) Godsave, Carrie (Steve) Beguin of Gilbert, Ariz., Matt (Sarah) Godsave and Melissa (James) Nickolas; 12 grandchildren, Andrew, Austin, Cooper, Dylan, Eliza, Jacob, Lily, Nicholas, Ruby, Ryan, Sam and Weston; a sister, Marian (Bill) Moehrke of Louisville; and two brothers, Alan (Patricia) Godsave of Germany and Russell (Deborah) Godsave of Clarksville, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell.
A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Pleasant Christian Church, 381 N. Bluff Road, Greenwood. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations be sent to the Dennis Godsave Memorial Fund at Fifth Third Bank at any branch location.
