Paul B. “Bernie” Albers, 80, of Greenwood, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at his home.
He was born Aug. 20, 1933, in Indianapolis, a son of Heinrich Gregor and Elizabeth Margaret Albers.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Albers; three sons, Paul A. Albers, Joseph G. (Beverly Ann) Albers and David L. (Paula) Albers; three daughters, Ann C. Rose, Karen M. (Kent) Ratliff and Elizabeth H. (John) Henderson; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Hermann G. Albers.
Bernie was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus and member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church.
Bernie owned Reprographic Services in Indianapolis.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, 335 S. Meridian St. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Knights of Columbus, 695 Pushville Road, Greenwood, IN 46143; or to Our Lady of Grace Monastery, 1402 Southern Ave., Beech Grove, IN 46107.
