Fred P. Leucht

Fred P. “Fritz” Leucht, 76, of Greenwood, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013.

He was born Dec. 25, 1936, in Terre Haute, to Fred R. and Gertrude (Seidenbecker) Leucht. He attended Little Flower Grade School and Thomas Carr Howe High School in Indianapolis and graduated from Butler University. He was a member of Lambda Chi Fraternity. Fritz served in the U.S. Air Force for three years.

He married Joan M. Kirkhoff on Sept. 17, 1977. He was co-founder of Clark and Leucht P.C. in 1978. Prior to that, he was a partner at KB Parrish & Co. Fritz enjoyed his work and never retired from it. He belonged to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and was a 40-year member of the Indiana CPA Society.

Fritz volunteered as a financial chairman at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Nashville and St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Franklin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister-in-law, Susann Kirkhoff; and a great-nephew.

He is survived by his wife; two brothers-in-law, Robert Kirkhoff and the Rev. Gerald Kirkhoff, both of Indianapolis; a niece, Marni (Steve) Fey; four nephews, Mike, Jeff (Tina), Kevin (Julie) and Mark (Teresa); and 13 great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 126 W. Georgia St., Indianapolis. Friends and family will gather from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Monday at Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East St. (U.S. 31 South), Indianapolis. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.

In lieu of flowers, donations have been requested to be made to Little Flower Catholic Church, 4720 E. 13th St., Indianapolis, IN 46201; or Scecina Memorial High School, Office for Advancement, 5000 Nowland Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46201.
