Stephen M. Duncan
Stephen M. Duncan, 63, of North Port, Fla., formerly a longtime resident of Johnson County, passed away Oct. 8, 2013, at Venice (Fla.) Regional Medical Center.
Stephen was born Sept. 3, 1950, to Melvin and Juanita in Indianapolis; and he moved to North Port in March 2013.
Steve was a loyal and active member of Elks Lodge 1818 in Franklin.
He was an avid sports fanatic of the Indiana Hoosiers and Indianapolis Colts teams. He enjoyed golf, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
Steve was a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be forever missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Sonja; four sons, Marty Burton of Franklin, Andrew Burton of Richmond, Va., and Patrick Duncan and Matthew Duncan, both of Indianapolis; a brother, Tony Duncan of Greenwood; two sisters, Barbara Castile and Janet Duncan, both of Greenwood; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents; a son, Mike Duncan; and two brothers, John and Tim.
A celebration of life service will be at 6 p.m. Nov. 23 at Franklin Elks Lodge 1818, 40 N. Water St. Franklin,
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mike Duncan Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 354, Franklin, IN 46131.
