Dr. Geraldine Bagby, 91, passed away Friday, Oct. 4, 2013. She was a resident of Greenwood.
She was born Nov. 23, 1921, in Johnson County, to the late Olin M. and Mary Olive (Stone) Bagby.
She is survived by her nephew, Frederick Kelly Jr.; great-nieces; and numerous friends and neighbors.
Geraldine was a graduate of Greenwood High School and Butler University. She earned her master’s and doctorate degrees from Indiana University.
Geraldine taught in Trafalgar, Franklin and Alexandria.
She was the first woman vice principal at North Central High School and in the state of Indiana.
She retired as vice president from Dansforth Foundation, where she conducted seminars for high school principals and federal judges all over the country.
A service will be conducted at
1 p.m. Thursday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Geraldine will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery.
