Charles “Jason” McClain
Charles “Jason” McClain, 36, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at his residence in Edinburgh.
He was born Feb. 3, 1977, in Gibson City, Ill., to Charles L. McClain of Indianapolis and the late Nelda J. McIntosh McClain.
Jason was employed for 10 years at Casting Technology.
He loved the outdoors, woodworking, working on cars and karaoke. Jason also loved his children, his dog, family get-togethers, fireworks and the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer M. Bowman McClain of Edinburgh; his father, Charles L. McClain of Indianapolis; sons, Levi, Jacob, Charles Jason Jr. and Brady McClain; daughters, Chelsie, Kaydence and Josie McClain; brother, Melvin Hazelwood, also known as David McClain of North Vernon; sister, Shera Lynn Bryant of Edinburgh; father- and mother-in-law, Larry and Debbie Bowman of Edinburgh; brother- and sister-in-law, Gerald and Laura Adair of Edinburgh; and many loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nelda J. McIntosh McClain.
The Rev. Jim Hudson will conduct a funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Edinburgh Church of the Nazarene, 15130 U.S. 31 North, Edinburgh. Visitation will be from noon until service time Monday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jennifer McClain Memorial Fund through Salin Bank of Edinburgh, in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements were entrusted to Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home in Columbus.
