Roberta (Wood) Able, 81, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at her home in Martinsville.
Survivors include her husband, Norman R. Able; five children, Daniel (Janda) Able of Greenwood, Tamara (Richard) Peck and Kevin (Lee) Able, both of Martinsville, and Timothy (Ronda) Able and Kimberly (Keith) Payne, both of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Jean Planck of Florida.
She was preceded in death by one grandson; six siblings, Lucille Scammahorn, Pauline Wood, Betty Brown, and Tracy, Earl and Ray Wood; and her parents, Hubert and Rhoda (Cottman) Wood.
The Rev. Kevin Able will conduct a funeral service at 6 p.m. Sunday at River Valley Christian Church, 4295 Egbert Road, Martinsville. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Liberty Christian Church Cemetery in Martinsville.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Meredith–Clark Funeral Home, Cremation and Personalization Center in Morgantown.
