James V. Holdren
James V. Holdren, 57, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at his residence.
Born Aug. 6, 1956, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Charles A. and Elsie Mae (Maddox) Holdren. On March 18, 1997, he married Kathy (Bechert) Holdren in Las Vegas.
James worked as a route delivery driver for Mascari Cleaners.
He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; a son, David B. Tackett; three daughters, Chris (George) Pickett, Jodi (Gary) Poynter and Fancy Tackett; three brothers, William Holdren, Charles E. Holdren and Lee T. (Darla) Holdren; two sisters, Carolyn S. (Robert) Turner and Mary (Jim) Beaver; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
