Harriett T. (Paszkowski) Poe, 88, passed away Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin and a former resident of New Whiteland and Greenwood.
Harriett was born Nov. 28, 1924, in Euclid, Ohio, to Stanley and Jennie (Tarnowski) Paszkowski.
She was employed with Service Supply Co. in the assembly department in Indianapolis, retiring in 1987. She was also a dispatcher in the 1950s for the New Whiteland Police Department.
Harriett enjoyed bingo, bowling, games and reading her Bible.
She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Greenwood and a former member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church. She was a devoted Christian.
She is survived by a sister, Caroline Uhles of Greenwood; two nephews, John (Tonia) Gray of Arizona and Arthur Gray; and three nieces, Joanna (Brian) Sharp of Bargersville, Jennie (Randy) Springer of Franklin and Erika Gutmanis of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marion Poe; and two sisters, Mary Gray and Sophie Tepee.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. today at Concordia Lutheran Church, 305 Howard Road, Greenwood. A celebration of life gathering will take place at the church following the memorial service.
