Edward M. Linneman III
Edward Michael “Mike” Linneman III, 66, passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Bargersville.
He was born Dec. 9, 1946, in Whiteland, to Edward Linneman II and Virginia Lewis.
He married Donna Marie (Jones) Linneman on May 12, 1966. She survives in Bargersville.
Other survivors include three children, Angela (Tony) Palmer and Brent (Kimberli) Linneman, both of Franklin, and Andrea (Rick) Cambridge of Bargersville; eight grandchildren, Alyssa Palmer, Ryan Palmer, Nathan Cambridge, Luke Cambridge, Stephanie Troutman, Caleb Linneman, Aliah Linneman and Deliah Linneman; and two siblings, Eric Linneman of South Carolina and Ella Mae Hall of Arizona.
He was preceded in passing by his parents; an infant son, Dennis Michael Linneman; and a grandson, Reid Cambridge.
Mike was a 1965 graduate of Franklin Community High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. While in the Navy, he received training as an air traffic controller.
He was an air traffic controller at Indianapolis International Airport for several years. He retired from Monarch Beverage in May 2012.
Mike was a member of Franklin American Legion Post 205.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
