Louise E. (Price) Hobbs

Louise E. (Price) Hobbs, 80, passed away Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013. She was a resident of Greenwood.

She was born Sept. 18, 1932, in Point Commerce to the late Rex and Lenora (Livingston) Price.

She married Jack Dean Hobbs on Jan. 3, 1959, at First Baptist Church in Worthington. He preceded her in death in March 1977.

She is survived by three children, Jill (Aaron) Maloy, Jack (Dawn) Hobbs II and Douglas (Tanya) Hobbs; grandchildren, Jennifer (Ryan) Michel, Christopher (Jodie) Prince, Stephen (Lindsey) Maloy, Kandice Hobbs, Jack D. Hobbs III, Matthew Niedenthal and Douglas Hobbs II; and great-grandchildren, Ethan and Maicey Michel, C.J. and Liam Prince, Maegan, Milana and Max Maloy, Willow Hobbs, Nick Saunders and Jack D. Hobbs IV.

Louise graduated from Worthington Jefferson High School and went to work for RCA for eight years and later retired after 25 years at the U.S. Postal Service.

She enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley and country music, watching Colts football, the Pacers and Indiana University basketball, and spending time with her family. Her favorite color was blue.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Louise will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
