Harold L. Morrical
Harold L. Morrical, 84, passed away Sept. 4, 2013, at the Franklin United
He was born in Jeffersonville on Aug. 29, 1929, to Nova and Raymond Morrical.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Virginia; and four children, Tony (Annemarie) and Jim (Libby) Morrical, Carol (Steve) Highsmith and Janet Morrical; six grandchildren; one brother, Charles; and two sisters, Wilma and Carolyn (Larry) Krudop.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Harold worked as a high voltage construction electrician before serving two years in the U.S. Army and receiving degrees from Indiana Central College, Indiana State University and United Theological Seminary.
He served as pastor at Evangelical United Brethren and United Methodist churches in southern Indiana for 36 years.
He was an EMT, a volunteer in mission in six countries and the overseas coordinator for Operation Classroom in Sierra Leone in West Africa.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wright Chapel, Franklin United Methodist Community, 1070 W. Jefferson St. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Operation Classroom Inc., 359 S. Franklin St., Valparaiso, IN 46383.
