Glenn William Snyder
Glenn William Snyder, 83, of Greenwood, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 9, 2013.
He was born Aug. 12, 1930, in Beech Grove to the late Joseph Russell and Nancy Louise Snyder. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War, and was a member of the Southport Masonic Lodge No. 270 F&AM.
He retired from Indiana Bell/Ameritech after 40 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Dorothy M. Snyder; two children, Cheryl (David) Steele and Michael L. Snyder; other family members, including Dr. Erin Snyder; four grandchildren, Christopher Catanese, and Kasey, Haley and Nolan Snyder; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three siblings, Thomas G. and Joseph R. Snyder II and Elaine Blane.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135. at the
funeral home. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Glenns Valley, Greenwood.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Foundation for the Blind, in care of the funeral home.
