Mrs. Delores Ines Mathews Arias, 85, of Franklin, formerly of Seymour, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born July 24, 1928, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Leslie R. and Leona (Sells) Hatfield.
She married John Mathews, the father of her son, who preceded her in death.
On March 22, 1974, she married Alfred L. “Les” Arias Jr., who preceded her in death July 22, 2008.
Delores was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Seymour.
She was a homemaker and also was employed as a bank teller.
She is survived by her son, John E. (Brenda) Mathews; stepchildren, James L. (Karen) Arias and Jeannette (Timothy) Arias Flynn; stepgrandchildren, James P. (Cavi) Arias, Karen Alesa (Chris) Thompson, Colin Flynn and Carmen Flynn; and brothers, Leonard Hatfield, Charles Hatfield, Earl Hatfield and Orland Hatfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, John Mathews and Alfred Arias Jr.; brothers Virgil, Philip and Lawrence Hatfield; and sister, Marcella Rork.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church, 1202 N. Ewing St., Seymour, with the Rev. David Schrock officiating. Burial will be Friday at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Voss Chapel, 316 N. Chestnut St., Seymour; and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Memorials may be written to Calvary Baptist Church or the donor’s choice, in care of the funeral home.
