Sue Ann Robinette

Sue Ann (Bruce) Robinette, 79, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Greenwood.

Sue was born Feb. 24, 1934, in Bloomfield in Greene County, to William H. and Maysel Ellen (Hill) Bruce.

Sue was married to the late John Robinette for 58 years.

She was employed with Kiddie Kraft Studios for many years and later with Nash Studios for 10 years as a color artist.

Sue was an active member of Grace Baptist Church in Indianapolis for 20 years, where she was in the women’s group and on the hostess committee.

She was a very good seamstress, making wedding dresses and quilts. She loved spending time with family, doing crossword puzzles and reading.

Survivors include five children, Judith A. (Wayne) Eldridge of Indianapolis, Larry A. (Barb) Robinette and Ellen A. (Jessie) Ruddick, both of Franklin, and Patricia A. “Patty” (Brian) Durbin and John A. (Karen) Robinette, both of Greenwood; a sister, Margaret Cornett of Noblesville; a brother, Francis “Bucky” (Ann) Bruce of Beech Grove; 13 grandchildren, Melissa (Rob) Shaw, Andrea (Robbie) Mitchell, Matthew (Brye) Eldridge, Brandi (Adam) Spindler, Craig Robinette, Keli (Tom) Tucker, Kandice and Katrina Durbin, Kristi (Amos) Dixon, Jessica Ruddick, Brittani (Scott) O’Brien, and John and Jennifer Robinette; and 18 great-grandchildren, Caleb Shaw, Charles Mitchell, Hayleigh, Evelynn, Samantha, Wesley and Liam Eldridge, Rylee Billup, Ryan and Owen Spindler, Rebekah Tucker, Winston, Toby, and Nathaniel Agee, Desire and Jaiden Barker, and Audrey and Spencer O’Brien.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robinette; three brothers, Richard, William and Lee Bruce; a sister, Carol Chastain; and a granddaughter, Shannon Suellen Agee.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Baptist Church, 740 W. County Line Road, Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. 31 North, and from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
