Sally June Pinto-Roseman

Sally June Pinto-Roseman wrote the first portion of her obituary below.

I was born Oct. 9, 1938, to Iris Jeanne (Opel) and James Theodore Pinto.

I was baptized in the Catholic Church that year and raised Catholic. I attended Catholic grade and high school at St. John’s in Loogootee, graduating in 1956. I graduated from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College in 1960, with a major in business and a minor in French.

I married Robert Stanley Cosner on June 16, 1960. He was the son of Katherine (Byers) Cosner and John Wesley Cosner Sr. of Bedford.

We had three children: Robert Opel Cosner, born Jan. 21, 1961; he died in February 1992 at 31; Kevin Byers, born Jan. 23, 1962; he died June 26, 2011 at 49; and Catherine Jeanne Cosner-Stogner, born June 2, 1963.

I was born again Aug. 3, 1977, and baptized again Dec. 3, 1978.

I was married to Leston Combs Jr. on Sept. 3, 1981. He died Feb. 25, 1985. I married Neal Ira Roseman in Belize on July 31, 1989. We lived in St. George’s Caye in Belize until Aug. 27, 2005. He died Aug. 25, 2007, at Homeview nursing home in Franklin. I lived in Greenwood again from August 2005.

Sally passed away at age 74 on Sept. 6, 2013, at her home with her daughter, Cathy, and son-in-law, Mat, by her side and her Master Loki and best friend Pomeranian dog.

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Bible Baptist Church, 1461 Sheek Road, Greenwood.
