Mary A. Klemaszewski
Mary A. Klemaszewski, 92, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at University Heights Rehabilitation Center in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Greenwood and a former resident of Washington, Ind.
She was born July 21, 1921, in Bedford, to George and Anna (Bramble) Riester.
Survivors include two sons, Don (Joanna) Purdue of Bargersville and Lars (Connie) Purdue of Washington; five grandchildren, Chris (Ken) Dyar, Kelly Moore, Jeff (Julie) Purdue, Aaron (Erin) Purdue and Nick (Sarah) Purdue; a sister, Lela Summers; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Nicholas Purdue, Ray Peden and Dominick Klemaszewski; sister and brother-in-law, Beatrice and Art Larson; brother and sister-in-law, Preston and Virginia Riester; and a brother-in-law, Hugh Summers.
Father Francis Kalapura will celebrate a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, 335 S. Meridian St. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the church. A private burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery in Washington.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, 335 S. Meridian St., Greenwood, IN 46143.
Swartz Family Church and Chapel-Funeral and Cremation Services in Greenwood is handling arrangements.
