Albert Otis Stalets

Albert Otis Stalets, 86, passed Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Indianapolis.

Albert was born July 12, 1927, in Pana, Ill., to Albert J. and Ursual (Hasinbiller) Stalets.

He was employed by Prudential Insurance as a special agent for 25 years, retiring in 1982.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Albert enjoyed his family, American Legion Post 355 and going to Indiana Grand Casino.

He is survived by three sons, Mark (Cheryl) Stalets of Indianapolis, Albert John “Butch” (Jennifer) Stalets of Franklin and Stephen (Holly) Stalets of Trafalgar; a sister, Norma Jean Hoffmeister; granddaughters, Brittany Hubner, MaKenzie Stalets, Marissa Stalets, Madison Calvano, Callie Calvano and Kylee Blanford; grandsons, Jack Stalets, Gage Hessman and Brayden Stalets; great-grandchildren, Ian Hubner and Eena Hessman; and best friend, Peg Stalets.

Albert was preceded in death by brothers, John “Jack” Stalets and Robert L. Stalets.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 N. U.S. 31, with visitation from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
