Kenneth M. Gray, 74, of Mooresville, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, in the Hearth at Tudor Gardens in Zionsville.
Mr. Gray was born Oct. 8, 1938, in Indianapolis, to the late Forrest and Mildred (Nay) Gray.
He graduated from Mooresville High School in 1957 and served in the Indiana National Guard. Mr. Gray co-owned Gray Brothers Cafeteria with his brother, the late Larry Gray, for many years. He enjoyed boating, many outdoor activities, and flying remote-control airplanes.
A dog lover, Mr. Gray was a breeder of Chinese shar peis.
He will be missed by a loving family and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Gray; and a grandson, Tyler Nusbaum.
Survivors include a son, Michael Gray (Krista) of Lafayette; two daughters, Christina Miller (Joseph) of Greenwood and Theresa Nusbaum (Sjon) of Zionsville; grandchildren, Michael (Lindsey) and Devin Gray, Blake and Kyle Miller, and Chloe, Christa and Courtney Nusbaum; and half siblings, Glenda and Sonny.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate Mr. Gray’s life from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service and Crematory, 39 E. High St., Mooresville. A private graveside service will be at Mooresville Cemetery.
