Ruth Elenor Fulp

Ruth Elenor Fulp, 90, passed away Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin.

She was born on Sept. 17, 1922, in Indianapolis to Herschel C. and Nancy E. (Brown) Campbell. She married Harold E. Fulp on April 12, 1941. He preceded her in passing in 1990.

Survivors include a son, Harold O. Fulp Jr. of Franklin; daughter, Nancy A. (Phillip) Gilliland of Hope; and son, Terry D. (Vicky) Fulp of Franklin. Other survivors include one brother, Robert Campbell of Bargersville; grandchildren, Kelly Busch, Mindy Maynard, Kristi Fulp, Mandy Martin, Andi Ferris, Sami Perry, Cori Fulp and Adam Fulp and great-grandchildren, Alisha Busch, D.J. Martin, Cassidy Chick, Hanna Martin, Haleigh VanLandingham, Ashlyn VanLandingham, Xavier Ferris, Olivia Perry, Alana Perry, Thomas Priest, Gregory Priest, Reagan Ferris and Adam Fulp, Jr.

Ruth is also survived by special friend, Crystal Thomas.

She was preceded in passing by her parents, husband, Harold and brother, James Campbell.

Ruth was a 1940 graduate of Whiteland High School.

She was a homemaker and a farmer’s wife. She was a great mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Ruth was a 50 plus year member of the Trafalgar Order of Eastern Star where she was a Past Worthy Matron. She was a member of the Union Community Mother’s Club and the Union Community Homemakers Club. She was a past mother adviser for the Trafalgar Rainbow for Girls where she received the Grand Cross of Color. She was also a member of the Johnson County Cattlemen’s Association.

A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Indiana Masonic Home, Kresge Chapel, 690 S. State St.Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
