Raymond E. Ficklin
 

Raymond E. Ficklin, 74, of Homer, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, in Indianapolis.

Raymond was born March 29, 1939, in St. Paul to the late Vern and Ruth (Whitham) Ficklin.

He had lived in Homer for the past 10 years and lived in Greenwood prior to then. Raymond served in the U. S. Navy and was a member of Homer Christian Union Church. Raymond retired from Conrail after 20 years of service.

Raymond leaves behind one son, Kevin Ficklin of Fishers; two halfbrothers, Pete Robbins of Indianapolis and Donald Ficklin; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by one brother; one sister; and a son, Michael Ray Ficklin.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Moster Mortuary, 334 N. Main St., Rushville. The Rev. Roger Abraham will preside. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Rushville East Hill Cemetery. Rush County Honor Guard will perform military rites at the gravesite.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
