Jolela R. VanDyne, 68, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at her residence in Indianapolis.
She is survived by her husband, Oakley T. VanDyne of Indianapolis; four children, Brandon Kistner of Hollister, Calif., John R. Breden of Shelbina, Mo., Lorreene Hottenstein of Springfield, Ohio, and Melyna Kistner-Farris of Mexico, Mo.; stepchildren, Kimberly Bishop of Phoenix, and Robert Donald VanDyne, William Oakley VanDyne and Kris McNulty, all of Indianapolis; two foster children, Jerry Alan Delany of Springfield, Ohio, and Nicole Underwood of Morris, Minn.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ida (Bainter) Mechlin; and three brothers, Elwood Gordin, Marvin Mechlin and Lanny Mechlin.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fern Cliff Cemetery Chapel in Springfield, Ohio. Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the chapel. Burial will be at Fern Cliff Cemetery in Springfield.
Swartz Family Church and Chapel–Funeral and Cremation Services in Greenwood is handling arrangements.
