Rita M. Kramer, 89, of Greensburg, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at Waldron Health & Rehab Center in Waldron.
She was born in Oldenburg on Oct. 2, 1923, to Jacob and Elizabeth (Nunlist) Werner.
Rita was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg and she was a 50-year member of the St. Lawrence Auxiliary.
She was married to Jacob Kramer on Sept. 14, 1946, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 1990.
Rita is survived by two sons, Joseph (Debbie) Kramer of Columbus and Charles (Carol) Kramer of Greensburg; seven daughters, Dorothy Kramer of Westport, Dolores (Tom) Nielson of Columbus, Patricia (Robert) Klene of Greensburg, Marietta (James) Hagerty of Westport, Joanne (Kenneth) Scudder, Rose (Thomas) Parker and Margie (Robert) Wood, all of Greensburg, one sister; Henrietta Stein of Oldenburg; 32 grandchildren; and 82 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Mathias, Leo, Joseph and Henry Werner; three sisters, Sister Rita Agnes of Sisters of St. Francis, Gertrude Riedeman and Elenora Kramer.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home, 302 N. Franklin St., Greensburg. The family will lead a rosary service following visitation on Sunday. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg, with the Rev. John Meyer officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
