Ray G. Garrett, 88, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013. He was a resident of Edinburgh.
He was born May 2, 1925, to the late Fred G. and Amanda E. (Neal) Garrett.
Survivors include his daughter, Kathy Beauchamp; grandchildren, Joey (Sara) Beauchamp, Brandy (Rahman) Smiley, Carmella (Eric) Harrison and Ann England; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Baxter and Cecil Garrett, Leola and Ruby Garrett, Gladys Foster and Thelma Main; and a great-grandson, Tyrin Reeves.
He retired from David R. Webb Co. Inc. in Edinburgh. He enjoyed spending time with his family, talking about his time in the service and fishing.
The Rev. Terry England will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Saturday at Grace Tabernacle Church, 512 W. Center Gross St., Edinburgh. Calling will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
