Brenda J. (Lankford) Gottlieb, 70, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013.
She was born Feb. 16, 1943, in Elwood. She attended Indiana and Butler universities, receiving her degree from Butler.
Brenda was a beloved wife and devoted mother and a friend to many.
She was a life member of Beta Sigma Phi and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, bridge club and computer games. She was an avid follower of current events and politics and loved the Colts.
Brenda and her husband, Jerry, owned and operated GMG Motors since 1981.
Brenda is survived by her children, Stephen (Angela) Gottlieb, William (Sarah) Gottlieb and Melanie Goldman; grandchildren, Ashley, Elijah, Megan, Karliee, Rachel and Madeline; a brother, Donald Lankford; a sister, Leanna Powell; and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald M. “Jerry” Gottlieb; and her parents, Donald and Jessie Lankford.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 S. State Road 135. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Brenda will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
