Carolyn (Graham) Ross Gambrel, 67, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013, at her residence in Nineveh.

She was born April 22, 1946, in Nineveh, to Lloyd D. and Elva F. (Cobb) Graham. Her mother lovingly survives in Nineveh.

She also is survived by her husband, Bill G. Gambrel. They were married May 3, 2002.

Other survivors include her children, Jeffrey D. (Michelle) Ross of Trafalgar and Jennifer D. (Todd) Williams of Franklin; grandchildren, Derek Collins, Bryce Williams, Kyle Ross, Kayla Ross and fiancé, Bill DeShong; stepchildren, David G. (Jennetta) Gambrel of Colorado, Melissa L. Gambrel (Scott) Jones of Franklin and Robbin M. Gambrel (J. Craig) Goode of Trafalgar; stepgrandchildren, Brandon Reed, Cory Baxter, Brett Reed, Caleb Goode, Jared Gambrel and Jason Gambrel; and sisters, Donna (Jim) Bartlett of Troy, Tenn., Becky (Ottis) Martin and Betty Jane (Keith) Graham, both of Nineveh, Susie (Floyd) Ferguson of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Debbie (Dave) Sink of Greenwood.

She was preceded in passing by her father, Lloyd; her husband, Doug Ross; and a sister, Sandra F. Shipley.

She attended school in Nineveh.

Carolyn was employed by Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin for 25 years.

She was a member of Nineveh Christian Church.

Carolyn enjoyed the outdoors, boating and fishing and had a special love for animals. She enjoyed spending time with her families and church activities. She also enjoyed watching Indiana University basketball and Indiana Pacers basketball games.

Pastors Tom Knight and Ron Sodrel will conduct a celebration of Carolyn’s life at 11 a.m. Thursday at Nineveh Christian Church, 1261 E. County Road 775S in Nineveh. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery.
