Dale Wallace Wehmeier
Dale Wallace Wehmeier, 82, passed away Thursday evening, July 18, 2013, at his residence in Franklin.
He was born June 21, 1931, in Indianapolis to Fred R. and Hazel M. (Tague) Wehmeier. He married Patricia Joan (Thompson) Wehmeier in 1951.
Survivors include a son, David (Maureen) Wehmeier of Franklin; a daughter, Sandra (Rex) Suddeth of Beech Grove; five grandchildren, Andrew and Clark Wehmeier, Taylor and Karl Sauer and Jordan Suddeth; four great-grandchildren, Kohen and Aubrey Wehmeier and Caelyn and Skyla Suddeth; and three siblings, Joyce Greenlee, Anna Mae (Gene) Fuller and John (Helen) Wehmeier.
He was preceded in passing by his parents; and his wife, Pat, on June 27.
He was a 1950 graduate of Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving from 1951 to 1955.
Dale was employed by Indiana Bell as a communication technician for 39 years.
He was a longtime active member of Bargersville First Christian Church, where he sang in the choir for several years.
Dale enjoyed camping, gardening, playing horseshoes and watching NASCAR. He also enjoyed his euchre club.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. today at Bargersville First Christian Church, 101 East St. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until the service time today at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bargersville First Christian Church Scholarship Fund, 101 East St., Bargersville, IN 46106; and/or to the Indiana Masonic Home Foundation, 525 N. Illinois St., Indianapolis, IN 46204.
