Gus Thomas Mascari
Gus Thomas Mascari, 91, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013.
He was born Dec. 31, 1921, in South Bend to the late Thomas and Monna (House) Mascari and was a U.S. Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. He retired from Indiana Bell after 38 years of service.
Survivors include two children, Thomas A. (Joy) Mascari and Beth Ann (Larry) Hanna; a sister, Rita (Mascari) Ries; four grandchildren, Sean (Eriko) Dunn, Ryan (Heather) Dunn, James (Heather) Dunn and Megan (Chris) Zaborowsky; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mary Jane.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1530 Union St., Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Ave., Indianapolis. He will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
