Manson L. Mackey, 92, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 6, 2013. He was a resident of Indianapolis.
He was born in Johnson County to the late Mable (Stewart) Mackey and Fred G. Mackey.
He was a member of Bluff Creek Christian Church. He was a gold card member of the Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of the American Legion.
Manson served with his four brothers in the U.S. armed services during World War II.
He was a partner and vice president in IMC Corp.
Manson was married to June (Scaggs) Mackey, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Carrier) Mackey; four children, Fred (Elizabeth) Mackey, Beverly Everling, Michael (Erin) Mackey and Shannon Mackey; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Little & Sons Funeral Home Stop 11 Chapel, 4901 E. Stop 11 Road, Indianapolis. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bluff Creek Christian Church or the Nature Conservancy, in care of the funeral home.
