Lana K. (Hedge-Braughton) Hale
Lana K. (Hedge-Braughton) Hale, 69, of Nineveh, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013.
She was born in Indianapolis on Sept. 11, 1943, to Edwin D. and Edith I. (Pick) Hedge. Lana graduated from Whiteland High School in 1961. In 1976, she married her loving husband Larry Hale.
She worked as head bartender for Hilton in the Indianapolis airport for 25 years and recently retired from Federal Express. Lana was a loving and devoted mother, wife, grandmother and friend. She was fun loving, warm, compassionate lady. She always had a smile. Lana will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents and survived by her husband Larry; daughter, Kathy (William) Callahan; brother Edwin (Karen) Hedge; niece, Glenda Lindsey; step daughters, Cathy (Jeff) Smith and Tina (Jeff) Patterson; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indianapolis with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in West Ridge Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
