Thomas M. Dugan, 58, of Greenwood, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013.
He was born in Indianapolis on March 5, 1955, to John J. and Alice M. Rawlinson Dugan. He attended Holy Trinity Grade School and was a 1973 graduate of Cathedral High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in social studies from IUPUI in 1978.
He married Donna Browning on Aug. 25, 1984, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Tom was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 38 years before taking a medical leave in March.
He was a member of Branch 39 of the National Association of Letter Carriers and Knights of Columbus Council 6138 and an honorary member of the Slovenian National Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; six children, Michael P., Kevin C., Joey H., Mary Kate, Joanie A. and Kaelin M. Dugan; four sisters, Sharon Dugan Holmes, Kathy Dugan (Steve) Feldhake, Dr. Ellen (Craig) Dugan-Barrette and Patricia J. Dugan; and three brothers, Michael J. (Mary Ellen), John C. and Robert T. “Tim” (Deanne) Dugan.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon today at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, 335 N. Meridian St., where Tom was a member. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
