Evelyn Jane (O’Neal) Millikan, 89, passed away on Wednesday July 3, 2013, in Franklin. She was a longtime resident of Prince’s Lakes near Nineveh.
She was born on March 10, 1924, in Coatesville to Frank H. and Neva (Noland) O’Neal. She married Donald Millikan in 1946 in North Salem. He preceded her in passing in 1981.
She is survived by four children, Steven (Pam) Millikan of Franklin, Jeffrey (Christi) Millikan of Covington, Donna Brantley of Greenwood and Kevin (Karen) Millikan of Vonore, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are sisters, Mary Ann Coffey of North Salem and Ruth (Robert) Douglas of Indianapolis; one brother, Roy O’Neal of St. Louis.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; her husband, Donald; and siblings, Louise Mechum, Noland O’Neal and Shirley Crews and infant brother Ray O’Neal.
She was a graduate of Amo High School in Hendricks County.
Evelyn was employed by Eli Lilly in the shipping department during World War II.
She was a member of the Nineveh Senior Center. Evelyn enjoyed dancing, playing euchre and playing pingpong, but most of all she was a big fan of Indiana basketball.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Nineveh Cemetery in Nineveh. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St., (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery in Nineveh.
