Patricia Joan (Thompson) Wehmeier, 80, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013, at her residence in Franklin.
Pat was born Dec. 25, 1932, in Indianapolis to Garland S. and Daisy E. (Wright) Thompson.
She married Dale Wehmeier on June 8, 1951. He lovingly survives in Franklin.
Other survivors include a son, David (Maureen) Wehmeier of Franklin; a daughter, Sandra (Rex) Suddeth of Indianapolis; five grandchildren, Andrew and Clark Wehmeier, Taylor and Karl Sauer and Jordan Suddeth; four great-grandchildren, Kohen and Aubrey Wehmeier and Caelyn and Skyla Suddeth; and a brother, Larry (Gail) Thompson of Buffalo, N.Y.
Pat was a 1950 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis. She retired from Franklin College after many years as an administrative assistant in the development and public affairs department.
She was an active member of Bargersville First Christian Church for 48 years, where she sang in the choir.
Pat enjoyed reading, needlework, NASCAR racing, watching sports and playing cards with friends.
A memorial celebration of Pat’s life will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bargersville First Christian Church, 101 East St., Bargersville. Calling will be from 5 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.
Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin is handling arrangements.
