Clinton Burl Driver, 75, of Greenwood, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013, at Franciscan St. James Hospital in Chicago.
He was born March 9, 1938, in Lafayette, Tenn., to Connie Oswald Driver and Alice Berdean (Stinson) Driver.
He married Bennie June (Bray) Driver on June 3, 1961; she survives.
He was employed by General Motors in Indianapolis, retiring with 20 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Bennie June (Bray) Driver of Greenwood; son, Michael C. (Shirley) Driver of Franklin; a daughter, Lisa M. (Joe) Sanchez of San Antonio; four grandchildren, Candace (Rich) Rife of Greenwood, Paul Driver of Franklin, and Miranda Sanchez and Samantha Sanchez, both of San Antonio; two great-grandchildren, Lola Rife and Henry Rife; two brothers, Randall (Rebecca) Driver of Indianapolis and Bill (Pat) Driver of Lafayette, Tenn.; two sisters, Tressie Vice of Woodburn, Ky., and Brenda (Dale) Cline of Franklin, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Junior Driver, J.C. Driver, Quentin Driver and Bevy Driver; and a sister, Zelia Brooks.
The Rev. Larry McAdams will conduct a service at 2 p.m. Friday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 U.S. 31 South (Morton Street) in Franklin. Friends may call from noon until service time on Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood.
