James O. Keeton Jr.
James O. Keeton Jr., 53, of Trafalgar, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013, at Morgantown Health Care Inn.
He was born April 11, 1960, in Beech Grove, to James O. Keeton Sr. and Mickey (Pitzer) Keeton. He married Elisa (Ulery) Keeton on Sept. 1, 1984, in Means, Ky. She survives. He owned and operated Keeton Realty for many years and previously was a diesel mechanic for Apollo Oil in Winchester, Ky.
He was a member of Faith and Charity Assembly in Indianapolis. He loved fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Elisa (Ulery) Keeton of Trafalgar; sons, Donnie L. “Bub” Keeton (Michelle) of New Whiteland, James Nicholas Keeton (Lee Justice) of Trafalgar and Matthew A. Keeton of Franklin; daughters, Robin Pruitt (James) of Trafalgar; parents, James O. Keeton Sr. and Mickey (Pitzer) Keeton of Shelbyville; brother, John Keeton (Betsy) of Geneva; sister, Cathy Keeton (Scott) of Shelbyville; sister-in-law Nancy Ulery of Mt. Sterling, Ky.; ten grandchildren, Brandon Townsend, Levi Setters, Dustin Davis, Jessie Keeton, Dexter Davis, Cory Keeton, Noah Guyer, Tiffany Roethemeier, Andrew Pruitt and Wyatt Pruitt; and three great-grandchildren Braleyn Setters, Lilly Townsend and Urijah Burke.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Misty Decker and grandson, Brian Keith Decker on April 12, 2004.
The Rev. Evan Nyberg will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
